Historical Dictionary of Spain
Several issues raised their heads when writing the dictionary. A first question is the language in which the entries should be written. Entries for the names of parties and other organizations and bodies have been written in the foreign language rather than English (for languages spoken in Spain, see below). I have also used the foreign language for movements, events, and the like, when this is common in the English literature. However, in these cases I have also used cross-references to avoid confusion.
